achey hands in the morning

So, I know its fairly normal for your hands and feet to swell during the 3rd trimester, but for the past week or so, my hands have hurt really badly when I wake up in the morning.  It feels almost like I've had them clenched all night long. They're Really stiff and sore, and it takes an hour or so before it even starts to get better, and I have to massage my hands and open and close them for about 10 minutes to get the pain and stiffness to start to go down.  It hurts mainly in the joints. Is this a normal pregnancy symptom, or something I should be concerned about. For all I know, it could be completely unrelated to being pregnant!

Yeah, I also had numbness from my wrists down into my fingers, I couldn't feel a few of them, but my doc said it was normal, and very rarely do women have issues with it after pregnancy.

Thank you!  I have a doctors appointment this Thursday, so I'll mention it to her then as well. Its not so bad that I can't function with it, but boy does it hurt when I first wake up!

I looked at your profile and you're 30 weeks according to your tracker, I had the same thing happen to me. My doctor said it was like carpal tunnel, but it would go away after I gave birth and it did. My son's 19 months old now, and I haven't had a problem with it since a few days or so after I had him.
