If my child's farther isn't at the hospital when I give birth and do not sign the birth certificate can my child still carry his last name and can I put him on child support

Maybe contact your hospital or ask your doctor before giving birth just to make sure

And yes they have to do DNA if you want to put him on child support

I think it depends on where you stay. Here in Georgia if the father isn't present at the hospital the Child has to have your last name. I was so heart broken when they told me that. But you have a year to change your child's last name for free

Well I know for a fact he my child's farther and I knew they would do a DNA test I just needed to know if he didn't sign it cause he won't be in town can I still go on with it thank y'all soon much

They will do a dna test that goes for anyone putting someone on child support but hes name doesn't have to be on the birth certificate

Yes long has you have he's information like hes name you can still put him on child support
