I have had anxiety issues in the past and I've noticed since I've been pregnant. The anxiety is coming back more often, I don't take medicine for it anymore but now that it getting worse again I'm wondering should I be taking meds again

i have severe anxiety also.. I took xanex for it before pregnancy but once pregnant I came right off of it.. my dr told me benzos are not safe during pregnancy and theres nothing he could give me. they refered me to a psychiatrist to talk to weekly but it didnt help one bit so i stopped going

I talked to my doctor about anxiety and he said the only thing that was safe for me was benedryl ..weird I know lol but it does help just be sure not to drive when you take it

Before my first pregnancy, I suffered from anxiety in the 1st trimester. I also suffered from post partum depression after his birth for several months.  As soon as I got pregnant with this baby, I began having anxiety attacks again.  Hormones are crazy!!!!

Anxiety is normal during pregnancy but if it is affecting your every day life then I would speak to a doctor. They can then find some meds which are safe during pregnancy.
