any advice or stories to share please

Hi Im just wondering if any1 has any advice please I have a 9 month old baby girl and I have breastfeed her from from day 1 she is now eating solids at meal times and gas breast milk in the morning and night time an when she's tired through the day. Me and my partner want to have a brother or sister for her but my periods haven't started yet so I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice or stories to tell if they have been in a similar situation to mine or has anyone gotten pregnant while breastfeeding and had no period. I love breastfeeding my little girl and want to continue till shes 1. I know people say breastfeeding is like a contraception so people say stop but iI don't want to stop yet, thanks

I got pregnant with my son when my daughter was 11 months, I hadnt had a period, I actually didnt realize I was pregnant at first because I had some spotting for a few days, which was probably implantation bleeding, and just thought it was my period coming back.  I realized it when I started getting morning sickness a few years later.  With my third, and this one,  I got my period back for a few months before getting pregnant again.  My son was 29 months when I got pregnant again, my third baby was 30 months when i got pregnant with my 4th.  I never used birth control between any of them.

the longer you breastfeed the longer it will take for your cycle to return..your body knows that you are still caring for one baby so it will not produce eggs although you may experience some spotting.once you stop breastfeeding your cycle should be normal after a few months.good luck
