I'm 40 weeks & 2 days & finally dropped . I see my OB tomorrow to see whats to happen next . Anyone else dropped late ?

Some people work up until there 39 to 40 weeks , but everybody different . you should check with your dr & see if he'll let you on leave , they usually allow it up to 15 weeks earlier .

They wanted to strip my membranes at 38 weeks and told me at 39 weeks they would go ahead and schedule my induction for 41 weeks if he hadn't come by then. I said no thank you, he will come when he is ready. I had a completely safe delivery and a healthy baby at 40 weeks 2 days so if you can (and sounds like you already are) don't be afraid to give baby their time :) I'm sure he or she will come soon! I keep hearing a due date is just halfway between the average of 38-42 weeks because babies are born anywhere in that range and 40 weeks is just in the middle. They say is just as normal and healthy foe a baby to be born at 42 weeks as it is for a baby to be born at 38 weeks. Good luck! I'm sure he or she will come soon!
