Exactly , When I Had My Daughter They Did The Same Thing . In No Way Shape Or Form That's Being A Bad Parent . The Nurses Are Directed To Do So!
I think that there's nothing wrong with that. How long did you stay in hospital after birth. I heard they try to kick people out after 24h
I dnt think just because a parent leaves baby w. The nurses makes them a bad parent. Im a first time mom but i on the other hand would rather have the baby with me over night. I think i would have seperation anxiety lol i cant imagine having my son out of my sight after birth but everyone is different
I didnt know u could leave baby with the nurse over night so u can have rest i am a first time mom to and I had no idea thank u I just learned something new
I left my babies with the nurses at night with both pregnancies. It help a lot. They will come get the baby around 9 and keep them til morning and feed them and everything so you can relax before taking the baby home. I think its great
I tried with my first and honestly i couldnt let them take her. I keot thinking they were going to switch her with another baby or she was going to get robbed weird i had seoeration anxiety and im not trying with my new baby!
I am personally not letting the nurses take my baby, especially over night. It would be pretty hard breast feeding anyways. I think if you have a supportive spouse they should be helping you through out the night.
First off you're really not leaving your baby !!! I honestly don't understand why people are stressing that . . .They only get your baby for a few hours because they know your body needs rest! Smh . It's not even that serious , it's your baby & you can do whatever you want with the child .
That does not make you a bad mother. Labor is physically exhausting and you will need rest afterwards! I personally kept my daughter with me. I couldn't let her go! Lol. I was also breastfeeding though so it was easier. And my husband stayed overnight also so he was there to help.
Because I'll be under heavy monitoring when I have my baby I have no choice but to have her with the nurse at night I have a sleeping problem but had to be took off my sleep aids so they will be monitor me well I sleep to make sure I do sleep and vitals are okay
After 37 hours of hard labour for me i allowed the nurses to have baby for the night, the door was open amd i could see him. My baby was the only one born in the hospital that night and when i woke up my husband had already gottwn baby from them and if they had work to do they came and woke him. Wr felt as new parent that was going to be the last chance we got to get a good nights sleep. They are working for you so let them.
I had my 4th and last on the 9th. I only stayed for 1 night and I breastfed but after one of the feedings, I asked the nurse to take him because I didn't want to fall asleep holding him again. They took him for 3 hours and I was so thankful. I stressed that he was a beast only baby so they brought him back when he woke up. I was up for over 24 hrs, gave birth and had my tubes tied all in that 24 hrs so I was totally thankful for the little sleep I did get. It also didn't help that I requested pain meds and they made me sleepy also. U aren't a bad parent. Enjoy the help
I actually had no choice with my first because she had a high white blood cell count and was at risk of death. Even if that wasn't the case, I see nothing wrong with it. Giving birth takes a toll on your body, and you will need to rest! If one doesn't have a husband to watch the child, then let the nurses! Might be the last good sleep you get for quite a while!
It's doesn't make you bad mother. With my second I let my nurses take him overnight. I was so tired and my nurses could see it. My nurses even fed my son for me so I could sleep. I has a toddler at home and with this baby I will let my nurses take him overnight too.
I did this with both of my kids. Lordy, I had no help other than my husband once I got out of the hospital and knew those would be my only nights to catch up on any sleep. I breast fed so they brought the baby to me for feedings but at night, I think they may have given them a bit because I was left to sleep for 6 to 7 hours each night.
I left my career of six figure income and dedicated myself to being my kid's mom. I stay home with them and have been there for every event in their lives big and small. A couple of nights sleep in the hospital mean nothing to a woman's dedication as a parent.
Here's the life lesson for you. Anything you do that makes it easier on yourself than other mothers chose to do for themselves, you'll get grief.
If you give your baby a pacifier, you'll get grief. Bottle feeding, grief. Don't make organic baby food, grief. Hire a babysitter in the first 6 months so you can go out, grief. Any path your choose that gives you an easier route than other mothers chose, you'll get grief.
It's just good to know that upfront. And that doesn't mean your baby has suffered from it.
I left my daughter go with the nurses as night. Labor is exhausting and I figured I might as well take advantage cuz I know I won't be getting sleep for a long time after I left the hospital. Ppl just like to have reasons to judge ppl which is ridiculous but it is what it is I guess :/ smh
I dont think that makes u a bad mother at all!!! But I cant decide what ima do. I think for the 1st night since im having a c section he will go to the nursery. The other nights I want him with me ONLY becuz I want to get used to waking up at night and breastfeeding... that way if I have any issues I can get the help I need right then instead of coming home and having the worst luck ever lol
I tried letting my first go to the nursery but I cried so hard my husband had to go run down the hallway to get them to bring her back lol. But I definitely could have used the sleep :/
I'm breastfeeding and I let the nursery take my baby, because once u leave the hospital your pretty much on your own. My body was exhausted and I needed sleep. They came in when she woke up to feed her. They didn't give her a bottle. Definitely doesn't make u a bad mother. Ignorant people always amuse me
