being induced! Your stories?

Im being induced in 3 days with my daughter! Im 18 and im totally afraid of not being able to handle the pain. i know they are giving me pitocin to put in my IV and my doctor toldme to get the epidural early on when the pain gets to a 4 because if I'm in to much pain and try to tolerate it my daughter's heart rate may drop and they'll have to do a c section. I would like to hear your guys stories!! (:

Well congrats on your baby I had my baby induced um I went in one centemeter I was up to 89mg of pertocin the they told me I had to get the epdril when I was at 4 I don't know how it will effect u but me I had to get benadril cuz it made me so itchy lol but when it came time to push I pushed the epidril button three times I didn't feel nun at all very easy labor I'm back again and on my second child and I'm 19 so hope all goes well for u

Being induced is a little harder on your body, getting an epidural might be best. I went in to the hospital at 2cm but with contractions 4 Mins apart and 100% effaced I wasn't dilating bcuz I would tense up on my contractions so induced me and I was in labor at this time for about 30 hours so I was on no sleep for days already I had to get an epidural BCUZ my body was way to exhausted but try not to push the button once they tell u your 10cm dilated it may make it harder for u to push bcuz u don't feel anything which can cause the babies heart rate to drop. Good luck
