is it normal to gain o idk 15-20 pounds while on the depo shot?

my mom gained almost 60 lbs within the first year of getting the depo shot.

irregular spotting or bleeding is normal. Some women stop getting their period all together like I did, after about 6mo or 1 yr I stopped getting it and only had occasional spotting.
Every woman is different. My best friend bled nonstop for 6 months.

thanks for all the advise ladies. now home normal is it to get ur period while on depo? i have been on it 8 month and i now all of a sudden have my period

Yes it's normal. I gained just over 50 lbs while on it, during the first 18 months on the shot. I spent a total of almost 4 years on depo and it took a long time to loose just 30 of that.

I gained almost 50 pounds while on the depo shot (I took it for almost 5 years). I had a HORRIBLE time trying to lose weight while on it. Then, I finally went off it January 08.  By May, I had lost 45 pounds, without really trying very hard.  There is also a website that I started using after awhile that is called ***********.net.

Unfortuntally it is defintally normal.  That would be one of the side affects of it.
