I had to sit on a ball and rotate my hips for therapy for my back. It helps strengthen the core, so if you're not bouncing around, I say go for it and be careful not to fall off
Thank you BabyBoy12....that's all I was wondering
Vipotts -a birthing ball is just a big bouncy exercise ball and YOU CAN USE IT WHENEVER YOU FEEL. It is not always used to "put the baby into a birthing position" All tho it does help to releave birthing pains!. You can use it from the time you find out you're pregnant to help with back and hip aches. It will not hurt you to get it now. It helps believe me!
Im 28w & my doctor told me i can use a birthing ball b/c I was having alot of pressure down there..& I use one w/my second son around 20 something weeks&didnt go into labor..so I say your fine im getting mine out today:)
I've never heard of a birthing ball. Could you explain what it is? How to use it and where to buy it? :) i'm a ftm and i'm new to this. i will wait to use it until i'm a little further along to use it though. :) thank you
Well I've read that they could help before labor but there wasn't a certain time frame when to use them...I was looking on a birthing natural site...I was only wondering...but ok thanks
i thought birthing balls were supposed to be when you want to go into labor? I know when I was 39 weeks the DR told me to try bouncing on a birthing ball. I think your to early to use one
There are a lot of ways to help baby get in position too - a birthing ball is for what it sounds like. Birthing. It's used for women close to or in labour to help baby put pressure on the cervix and dilate them more.
10 weeks? I'm not using it to go into labor...well not now...just using it to encourage her into the proper position plus I've read it helps you get comfortable during pregnancy...which I need right now
In another 10 weeks or so.
Well I guess I'll be getting that today
I think it's fine to start using it now. It can't hurt anything
