Been to see the midwife today she told me I was rh-negative!! I've heard this isn't good and I'm soooo worried now :-(  what does it mean??

It isn't a huge problem at all. If the baby's dad is rh positive then your body will want to reject the baby because it's seen as a foreign body. It will not reject your first baby but it will create antibodies so the next baby you have is at risk. They use to give you immunosuppressant shots during your second pregnancy to prevent miscarriage but I believe (you can ask your doctor for sure) now they give you one while delivering your first child and it will prevent it. Either way it's not a big deal.

However, for women who are rh positive, it doesn't matter what your baby's fathers blood type is because you have the rh factor. Even if he doesn't, your body won't recognize it because there is "no rh" your body only recognizes the rh factor if you lack it.

I am rh negative and was given a shot for it. Everything's great I'm 32 weeks. It's not a big deal unless you don't get the shot they give u for it. ^ what she said

Im neg too only issue is if u bled at all...i did with my first so i had to get a shot each trimester but this one no bleeding so i get my first at 29 weeks and another after shes born

I'm Rh negative nothing bad I was just given rohgam so my body would not attack my baby or any future pregnancy I'm on my second and nothing bad they gave it to me at 28w with my first 37w because of a car accident and after birth because my baby was positive blood type and with this pregnancy they give me the rohgam shot again at 28w and after birth depending on her blood type or still just to be safe but don't worry ask ur doc :)

I didn't know that, I had bleeding in the begginging and have only 1 shot and I'm in third trimester. Weird!!!
