blood pressure?

I had my appointment today... Nurse checked me and said I had a high blood pressure then she made me lay down on my left side and said it went down to normal....... Hmmmm what does that mean? I'm 33 weeks. My whole pregnancy was normal until today and she made me lay down then went back to normal. I'm just wondering if it ever happened to you guys as well what happened to me.

This is totally normal and nothing whatsoever to worry about.

Correct blood pressure in a pregnant woman needs to be read when you are lying down on your left side.

You're fine,  put this worry out of your mind.

I had high blood pressure with my first. So far I've been good but it could if been high if you were even just a little nervous or even the walk from the waiting room back to the room could of made it go up. Mine has gone up once this pregnancy, the nurse checked it and made a note for my Dr and when he came in after a few mins of me sitting down and he re did it,it was normal again.

I'm having that issue as of now. They never told me or could tell me why my blood pressure has been high but my nurse made me lay on my side & mine was still high. Everything was completely normal with my blood pressure until then but now I'm on medication to lower it, plus my doctor thinks my son will come early so I've had 2 steroid shots to strengthen his lungs & they have me doing ultrasounds every week now.

Hopefully yours goes down and stays down for the sake of you and your baby. Because high blood pressure could lead to premature labor
