bonding

do any of you ladies have any good ways of bonding with baby? I'm very alone in this, no contact with bd no family and absolutely no friends..I'm only 18 weeks so I don't yet feel movement & sometimes even forget I'm pregnant..so I would just like to bond and be reminded that I'm not alone, and be more excited and in touch with my little one. any advice would be great, really.going thru hard times right now. thanks <3

I used to take warm baths and close my eyes and imagine my baby while rubbing my belly. I would sing and talk to him as well:)

I read to my baby (the bible mostt but whatever you want will do) I do it caz my mom did it for me & there's an actual study on reading in the womb & infant recognition when born we learned in psych. I wouldn't torture my son with singing bc my voice is HORRIBLE lmao

I hear you hun . I felt that way at the beginning of mine tooo at 18 weeks I felt the first kick and was instantly happy. After that you will be very aware. You can read to your baby don't rub your little belly. Your baby will know. Talk to your baby every day tell em that he/she is welcome. They hear your voice so don't think it's weird Lol good luck

i read to my baby. i bought this bedtime stories book to read to her after she's born. when i read she starts moving and when i stop reading she stops kicking as if she went to sleep. i always like to think that we have some bond and we understand each other. just know when you have no one, your baby will always be there. there is no greater bond than with mother and child. i hope you feel better

I  like the song idea, so they will be soothed by it at birth. thank you guys. I find out gender in two weeks so I think that'll help it be more real and comforting=)

I sing halo by beyonce and I put her name in the song. I think she is my halo so it works for me.

I just talk to her.. sometimes I think we fight at night on sleeping positions. I have this whole idea that she is communicating back with me. Rubbing your belly is great. Maybe u should sing one particular song all the time so when she/he is born she/he will be soothe by the song cause they know it.

Its kind of hard when your pregnant but you could try picking out a name and once you know gender calling baby by its name. Talk to it, it can't talk back(obviously lol) but it can hear you and will recognize your voice when born. Also maybe try find a song, that means something to you, for just the two of you and playing it for baby and signing it to baby? Im sure its a struggle to be alone but hang in there. That baby will show you love that you never thought possible. You will love it more then anyone, ever!

You can always talk to your little one, or sing to him/her. I talk and sing to my daughter all the time
