Does anyone know where to get pregnancy books for free? I want to read books like What to Expect When Your Expecting but I can't afford to buy them.

My insurance company sent one to me and the hospital I am going to gives you a small one.

Where I live we have a place called Bridgehaven. Its a pregnancy support center. When I came in and had a positive test they gave me what to expect when you're expecting for free. They also offer classes. They do an earn while you learn thing so at the end of the classes I'll get a free new crib or car seat. I would see if there's any pregnancy support centers near you.

My insurance company sent me a book amongst other things. I haven't read it because I have case studies and things to do for nursing school but it's by the mayo clinic. Just an f.y.i.

My hospital gave me the basic pregnancy book that explains the process month by month. I read the whole,thing and found it very helpful.

Yep, library is your best bet. Depending on where you are getting your prenatal care, they might have their own library of pregnancy/birthing and parenting books for you to borrow. By the way, I would not read "What to Expect When You're Expecting". Everyone I know that read it said it was a huge waste of time. "Birthing from Within" is a fantastic exercise book that will prepare you mentally, psychologically and spiritually for labor and birth.
