breast problems!:(

Ftm mom & am breastfreeding. My milk barely came in & on of my breast is so sore & full of milk but its in so much pain & it hurts.  What can I do to make it go away? Am just feeding on one breast cause the one that hurts can't feed on. :/

Yes like the others said use both and when In the shower let the warm water hit then and message then

Oh girl you don't want mastitis. It hurts like poo! I got with my first pregnancy. Only got to breast feed for a month :/ feed from both sides! No matter how painful it is. I would put ice or heat on my boob after nursing every time. Whatever was making it feel better at the time

Yup exactly engorgement *****! A cold cabbage leave will help with the pain express just little bits at a time. You don't want to get mastitis! I would highly recommend baking the hospital you have birth at and speak with a lactation consultant#:-)

You need to feed on both sides equally so your body can regulate how much baby needs.  If you absolutely have to you can take a hot shower and express a little off the milk by squeezing the nipple.  Don't express to much tho because then you are signaling your body to produce more.
