Curious

Its tax time! I was told I can claim my baby on my taxes. The money could sure help. Is this true/has anyone done this? Im due in May so 6 months next week.

When the baby is born yes for the following year. A social security number is required.

If your baby is born on dec 31 2013, you can claim your baby other wise you will have to claim your baby next year.

No, you cant. I was researching the other day. You can only claim a child for the year they were born in. You can claim your baby next your for your 2014 tax returns.

Not true what so ever! Sorry i have a four year old so in 2015 i can claim my baby that's on the way so that's extra money.
