Well when Hubby and I split up, I shut off his power and water. He didnt have a problem since he has a generater and isa man and can pee outside...but now that we are back together I have been living like that too lol. I can handle the no power thing, but not having water and having to pee all the time is killing me! And its so expensive to get it turned on! We will have power within the next two days but water will have to wait a little bit, rent is also due this week. And my in laws were supposed to move in fot a bit and help us, but they moved theyre stuff in and its all over the house but they havent stayed onenight and havent helped us with one bill. Im so frustrated and we areboth sick of them using our house as a storage unit! So broke and so frustrated :( had to pay for gas for the generator with change last night and the lady was so rude...its not like I was holdingup a line and I even separated the change for her to makeit easier to put in the changr counter. Just feel awful...
Praise the lord! We just got a late wedding gift in the mail from my aunt and uncle...$100 cash. God truly is good.
Yes we will be getting prepaid electric, it worked well for us in the past and is only $107 and that includes putting $50 on our mrter which will last us almost 2 Weeks. And our water is only about $30 a month, its just getting it turned on which is $220. Just praying for that check to come in before the holidays!
I know here in San Antonio some of the church's will help you pay for a portion of your utlilities. I dont know about FL. My aunt used to work for the state down there so maybe I can ask her. My SIL did it here and her bill was like 600$ and the gave her like 250$
Have you tried to see if they offer pre paid electric in your area thats what we had to do. We just moved into a new house a few weeks ago and the ekectric companies wanted a four hundred dollar deposit. So I looked up pre paid rlectric companies and I got it on for 50 bucks and same day activation. It really saved us because we were in the dark for two days before I called.
I live in Florida...my power is easy, I have the money for it today. Water is about $220 to get it turned on. Im hkping to get my deposit from them soon from turning it off and that would help tremendously! I really just need to get my lazy butt to work and quit complaining :/ lol
Where are you from? Have you tried explaining your situation to the power and water companies and asked them to switch it back on if you agree to a payment plan to pay off the debt? Here they can't refuse to turn it on if you agree a payment plan. It's always worth asking. I hope you get it sorted soon
My husband has, but hes getting to thepoint that he just wants yo throw it out. They keep making promises and never follow through. And most of my family is mad that I went back to him so they wont help. But I am blessed with ajob where I make my own hours and can work asmuch as I need to in order to get things paid for. Its just taking time...and I wont talk to his parents about it. Hehad them move in while I was gone so he can deal with it, he is OCD so the clutter is literally driving him insane haha I just keep my mouth shut!
Poor baby! Talk to yours and his parents and tell them whats goin on. I get you with the money problems too.
Hang in there dear keep the faith and pray everything will work out remember God works in mysterious ways
Poor thing :(. Have u talked to ur In laws about how you feel about having all their stuff there?
