can allergies be past on to off spring?

My husband has a few things he is allergic to and I was wondering if it would be possible if the baby would be allergic to the same thing. I'm a first time mom and I don't want anything bad to happen to my child.

Yes.
my fiance has a milk allergy and unfortunately,  my daughter has one.  She has to be on a soy formula.

I have a ton of allergies so I waited to feed my first son solid food until after he was a year old. He doesn't seem to have any but my Mom and Grandma have tons and so does my cousins baby

Ya allergies can be passed in the genes, but there is no guarantee that your baby will get your husbands allergies

I believe that genetics increase the likelihood of some allergies, but dont guarantee that it will be passed on. Peanut allergies, for example, are more common in children if one of the parents have that allergy.
