I'm kind of just venting but I've worked in my church for many years doing all that I thought was right in the Lord and their sight. Now I'm pregnant and all the support I gave, all of the hard work just seems to be in vain. I continue to pray about it and on the inside I feel at peace about the baby and pregnancy even though my baby father and I are just engaged. But why can't people understand or at least acknowledge all I've done.. I feel so unappreciated by church folk. Being pregnant did not change my beliefs or behaviors. I've made up my mind to leave the church bc II really can't stand the feeling.. Anyone else experience this?

Wait what's cowboy church? And with me I think it worse bc this is my second child.. So I've already gone through the shame thing but its happening all over again

Been there! I grew up strict catholic and got preggo at 17 omg they pretty much just ignored me after saying my child is an abomination. Now I've taken my kids to catholic church once, but now we do the Cowboy Church

I can underatand what you're going through. I work for the preschool in my church and this past year we really had a falling out with the pastor. I don't trust him at all and it aggrivates me that he is a pastor and doesn't even act like a decent person sometimes. You would think the pastor of all people would at the very least be a good person.

I feel like I'm not alone in this church with this either. They do it to all the young folks.. I think its why there is such a dividing line between the young and old

I'm not much of a religious person but I'm still very sorry to hear You are being treated like this. There is absolutely no reason for it! One day though, they will learn that what they are doing is wrong.
