cold meds

I have cold.  That's just great since my choice of cold meds are so limited during preg.  I am concerned about taking cold meds now with so many drugs being recalled for their effects on children lately.  The doc says I can take sudafed (which doesn't help me) and benadryl (makes me sleepy).  My question is if it makes me sleepy how does it effect the baby?  Is there anything I can take?

thanks.  I am just trying to get an idea what is safe. My sister had taken tylenol products when she was preg but I didn't know if that was a common thing.

I have list that says any of the Tylenol cold products are safe. They have a wide range of products for all types of symptoms.
I hope this helps and you get to feeling better real soon.
