colostrum question?

im 34 weeks today. first time mom, first to breastfeed in my family, and really curious as of when i'll start producing colostrum? or when i'll leak milk? may sound dumb, but i just really don't know. im a gestational diabetic and i REALLY want him to breastfeed instead of formula when he is born to help his sugars. i'm scared since i haven't had a baby before, my milk won't be ready when he's here.

Milk doesn't start until couple days after baby is born, you are already producing colustrom you just may not leak like other people do. But you will have some to feed soon as your baby is born.

You wont leak milk till your milk comes in.

I have a massive amount of colostrum. Through out all my pregnancies. I wasnt able feed my babies because i was way to stressed and my milk dried up...

With this one im gonna try again.

But, yes not all people have clostrum during pregnancy. It may come when the baby comes. Or its there and you dont notice.

I know, but I've heard most girls say their milk didn't come in until 2-3 days after. what do you do until then? i just really don't know, and don't know anyone who does lol

Not everyone leaks during pregnancy. It might not come in til baby is born. Doesn't mean you won't be able to breastfeed.
