contraception??

so Thomas is now 6 weeks old. its flown by. he is a stunning little boy and is very relaxed and cheerful just like his daddy. my midwife said i have to get on contraception asap as im very fertile. i was wondering which is the most effective birth control. i was thinking of having the depo shot. how effective is thins and are there side effects. any help would be great. thanks

thanks ladies. i cant have the coil cz ive got a bicornuate uterus and the nurse told me it can take up to 6 years to get the implant out of ur system n that turned me off the thought if having it as we want more kids in a few years. so il try the injection and fingers crossed i wont put weight on cz ive worked hard to get it off since having thomas lol. but thanks for ur help

i had found this awesome sight that has info on all types of BC... periods less often .ca and im just checking it out right now... pretty easy to use..

Im really interested in the ring that you change every 3 weeks... if anyone has used it, any opinions would be great... the shot tho kinda scares me as i know people that have had bad effects from it, i was interested in the implant that goes in the arm but i know very little about that too... there are just so many out there, and they all have good and bad points... i guess its just personal preference in the end... well to a point

I have had great luck with mirena and when I wanted to get pregnant it only took me a month after getting it out. There are some side effects but the only one I had was not having a menstral cycle.

The depo works good but it has its flaws a lot of girl but not all have a hard time trying to conceive when they want to n it can make u lose weight or gain weight with my sister she was 115 after being on the shot she weighed 170 but me I lost weight. Some girls also don't have their periods on it n some bleed a lot on it there are pros n cons to all birth control

When I first tried birth control I was on the depo I heard horror stories on how ladies gain a ton of weight, but the up side was its not an everyday thing well I got it and so found I was allergic to it my weight dropped below 100lbs and I was on my period for 4 months straight it was awful I switched to seasonal after that loved it but it ain't cheap good luck and congrats on you lil one can't wait for mine to get here
