Im hispanic/mexican light skinned
Yea it's normal . Along with your armpits, your areola's may get darker as well .
But will it go back to normal after pregnancy?
Darkness around the neck area may be a sign of diabetes. Does anyone in your family have it as well?
Oh wow...my grandma is the only one who has diabetes but no darkness around her neck area
I've heard about skin changes during pregnancy so it's normal x
I'm native american and we get really dark raccoon masks around our eyes and over our cheeks and noses. Some women get splotchy skin and others get it in just one spot. It is perfectly normal.
Just a heads up for yours and your baby's safety. I'd ask your doctor if you can get tested for diabetes, but I believe at 28 weeks, or so, they'll test you anyways. The sooner the better though. Hopefully it's just skin discoloration due to your pregnancy. Good luck!
My neck, armpits, areolas and my lady parts have all gotten dark this pregnancy.. its so weird! My Dr said it was normal, I don't have diabetes or G.D. pregnancy does weird things to us lol..
I had that and once i became diabetic it went away.. it means you're at a higher risk for it
