Sadly the dr still call it a miscarriage. I think it should count. Now I'm 14 weeks pregnant.

Oh hun.. so sorry for you lose.. I have one child that took us 4 years conceive. I had a early miscarriage  around 5 -8 days pregnant. Due to the fact that I was TTC, Monitoring my periods and stuff. The dr and I knew right away. I got  BFP blood tests but over the weekend my numbers dropped and had a miscarriage. Now this miscarriages happen to most women and they don't even know they are pregnant. They think that there period was late... and it comes a little heavy.
Sadly the dr still call it a miscarriage. I think it should count. Now I'm 14 weeks pregnant. EVERY time I go in for an appointment they state that this is my third pregnancy... It kills me every time.
Please don't give up and continue to have hope. It took us 5 years to ttc with this baby...
Best of luck

Baby bust coming you way....

So sorry to hear that.  It's good you at least pushed the issue with him to make them give you an ultrasound and bloodowork.  I wish I knew the right words to say but I don't.  So sorry.

Oh no I am so sorry that this is happening to you. I had the same thing happen to me last year and it was due to a cyst that was so large it was excreting HgC and it can happen. I was absolutely devastated when they told me what was happening and I couldn't believe it! I hope that you start your period soon so you can start trying again...

As others have said- you're probably too early. Why on earth did your doctor schedule a sonogram so early on? Wait until you are about 8 weeks to get a sonogram. Good luck!

If you are only 4 weeks then it isn't abnormal not to see anything. I am sure that everything will be just fine. Since your periods are irregular maybe you are not as far along as you thought. Pregnancy tests don't lie 4 times!

Hi I believe I am about the same weeks as you.  I think I am going to be 5 weeks on Friday (from my calculations).  I got a quant. HCG done on Friday and my levels were 174.  I had a little spotting today and a really sharp pain last night while laying in bed.  I went to the doctor today because my visit is only scheduled for next week the the nurse and on April 5th with the doctor.  He said everything looked ok internally but he is ordering another quant. bloodwork today for me so I am also waiting to hear back and it's so difficult waiting.  They scheduled me for an ultrasound on Friday because he thought my levels wouldn't be up enough yet to see anything on the ultrasound.  I am very nervous about getting the ultrasound because I am afraid of what they may or may not see.  Normal HCG levels are really hard to determine because the levels are all other the place.  I have a copy of mine and I could be anywhere from 2-4 weeks.  The main thing is that your levels are doubling about every other day so depending on what your levels are they may do another one in about 2 days just to make sure they are going up.  It is basically like a urine test but it measures the hcg in your blood.  Also what kind of ultrasound did they do?  Was it external (on your belly) or internal (vaginally)?  If you are early the external ultrasounds won't work just yet and even vaginal ones may not see anything yet as well.  Don't lose hope yet.  I hope your bloodwork comes out well.  Good luck.

I'm sorry that you are going through this.  It is possible that you are too early. The blood test will be used to determine what your HCG levels are.  Based on your level, the doctor will determine what steps to take next.  I hope everything is ok.

Well if your levels aren't over 2000 you aren't going to see anything at all. Don't get discouraged... wait until you get the results back from your blood test. When did you get your first BFP? How many weeks do you think that you are?

Dont know how many weeks you are but if 6wks or less than yes it can be very normal to not see anything on an u/s.
