Last week I went to get an ultrasound and the next day my doctor called and told me that my cervix was 2 1/2 and it should be around around a 3-5cm.Has this ever happened to anyone?I'm very scared now I was reading if you have a shorter cervix you can get the cervical stitch but only if you had a miscarriage before.my mind is everywhere right now

I have the same problem as well. Ive had it with both ny pregnancies. I was told they dont do the stitch after 14 weeks butthat could be a doctor thing. They usually do it in second pregnancies if u have miscarried and are aware. Hopefully ur doc put u on bedrest thats what im doing right now. Some ppl just have shorter cervix qnd others like myself contract the whole pregnancy and thats what causes my cervix to shorten. My first pregnancy i went to 38 weeks. This time im 31 weeks and been having regular contractions so hoping i make it to 32. Stay strong and rest lots and if ur doc says bedrest make sure u follow it.

Should talk to ur dr about that. Personally i think u should get it before something dramatic happens but i guess some places are dumb and wait till the worst happens before doing anything
