If you are only breastfeeding 3 weeks max there is no reason to spend the money to buy one they are pretty pricey so no need in buying it your not even going to be breastfeeding for a month

When your milk comes in you will get engorged and want relief and even just a manual pump will help relieve you and sometimes baby has a hard time latching if your too full with milk so pumping to softening your breast will help. I think if your breastfed for 2-3 weeks thats great but it's so much easier than bottle feeding and if you can make it past those first few weeks you'll fall in love with it!  :)

What is the point of dealing with your milk coming in just to deal with the problem of trying to get it to stop? I don't see 2 or 3 weeks even being worth breastfeeding at all honestly, that and having to switch to formula right away? That might also upset little ones stomach. I say just stick with formula.

it's up to you, if you want to get a breast pump or not. lol if your gona be around tha baby 24/7 than noo i don't see a need for it.. but if someone is gona babysit, than i would get one cause than you don't have to worry so much. but if your planning on only doing it for 2 - 3 weeks, than i don't see tha need. but it's up to you. im planning on breastfeeding, for at least 6 months so for mee ill have to get one. but every baby is different some don't even latch on so some mothers who wana breastfeed can't cause their baby won't latch on.
but if you wana save some money on formula tha best way is too breastfeed.

You certainly don't have to.  It's completely up to you. Though the hospital might give you one or your insurance may pay for it. You only need a breast pump if you want to continue feeding breast milk when you aren't around or breastfeeding anymore.

I would if I were you. The longer you breastfeed the better but as long as you are pumping and your baby is getting your milk he or she will get all the nutrients and antibodies they need. Breastfeeding is also the best way to build a close relationship to your baby so again the longer the better :)
