Hello ladies well I know that eating healthy is the main important thing to loose weight or baby fat after giving birtg but how long does it take for a recent mom who gave birth to loose the baby fat?? My baby was born 10 days ago and I know that I have probably lost a bit but I still feel myself like 3ishhh or 4  months pregnant I have a belly and don't know if its the right time to start working out I feel almost done recovering but my baby was born 10 days ago...I feel so desperate I want to look good for my man he haven't said anything about my body but I don't feel comfortable with extra fat...pre pregnancy-124 by the end of pregnancy I was 156..I don't know how much I lost I have my 6weeks check up but not until end of September so idk NY weight..

I'm breastfeeding too and can't wait to get back to working out. I bought a postpartum wrap to help my tummy and uterus go back to the size it was before and I'm 5 days pp and noticed a difference. Once you start working out and with breastfeeding you will lose a lot of the weight fast. That's what I did with my first pregnancy.

Good luck! I think you'll be surprised how fast it falls off once you are able to fully work on it. There's no better time than while breastfeeding to do it either.

10 days is still very early I would be cautious about working out. You may feel fine now, but hurt yourself. It takes time for the belly to go down. It took 9 months for it to grow and for you to gain the weight you're going to need a little more than 10 days to take it off.  Breastfeeding will help a lot. You can go ahead and start watching what you eat, just don't cut back too much or it could affect your supply. I wouldn't work out before 6 weeks without getting approval from your Dr.

Thanks ladies I'll take your words and wait ...its probably that I am over reacting if I am too worry about weight when I am only 10 days post partum ...the thing is that yesterday I was trying on my pre pregnancy jeans and they were so tight that I couldn't zip the buttom..

Well, ur only 10 days postpartum so your uterus has not fully went down to its normal size yet either. Thats why u still look pregnant. Other than that, just maintain a well balnced diet and when you can, get out of the house. With my kids, I found going on afternoon or evening walks with baby in the stroller really helped me get back into shape. I was back in my pre-preg jeans 2 months after babies birth.

Hi there.  I know, it's hard to see such changes in our body.  With both of my pregnancies, I really didn't fully shed the weight until after I finished breast feeding.  I lost an initial bit.  But then the rest just hung there.  As soon as I stopped BFing, off it came.  Nursing was definitely worth it but I didn't feel like my body was really my own again until my babies were done with that phase.

Eat a healthy diet and exercise . . .   if you were in good shape before the pregnancy, it should come off with that regimen.  good luck

Yea I am breastfeeding and I wish I was already a month of post partum so maybe that won't be to early to start working out and just want to be fully recover by the way I had a vaginal birth...

Depends on if you're breastfeeding or not. Exercise and healthy eating goes along ways too. There is no timeline as to when or if you'll lose your baby weight. Some women lose it a lot easier than others. I'd ask the doctor when it's safe to start working out since you're ony just 10 days post partum. Overdoing things before you're body is ready can make you bleed longer and take longer to heal.
