does 50mg Clomid really work???

i am about to start clomid and i must really know does 50mg really work? b/c i here about everyone getting prego at 100mg not much at 50mg

I took clomid last week, I had side affects, it should work if ur low bc clomid makes u ovulate, that's what the medicine is for!!  Keep me posted, I'll let u know also if I get a pos

i am done taking my clomid 50g.i take me 5tablets only coz my doc,said that one to me. i am hoping that its really work, coz im really really low ovulation,they take me a blood its 0.5 count of mine, my question is, does clomid work for me even i am 0.5? i not encounter side effects, is that a goodclue for me? thank you andpls.. help me, gdobless us all

hi! hello, when i read this blog my frustrated and depressed is fine a little coz i know im not alone and im not only have this problem, by the way, i am 23years old and dont have baby even one. i am taking me a clomid 50g now. my doc. told me i need to take this one in 5days coz im low ovaluation at count of 1.5. i really hoping next month i get preggy, i really really want to have me a baby,. my question now is, does clomid work for me even i am soo low ovaluation and count 1.5egg? i hope you help me guys,,godbless you all

I just wanted to tell everyone my story. My husband and I have been TTC for about 3 almost 4 years now. I would sometimes go 3 to 6 months with no period. I finally went to the doctor and they say that I have borderline PCOS.
After this diagnosis I was put on Metformin everyday the lowest dose. Then from Days 3-7 of my AF I took lowest dose 50mg of Clomid. I was also prescribed Estridol and Prometreum (sp?) that I took on specific days of my cycle. The first round I O'd but did not get pregnant. Now the second round was a little different. I did pretty much the same medication but this time I did get pregnant. I am just shy of 5 wks now I go back in 4 weeks to see the baby. Please do not loose hope. The reason doctors start you on a lower dose is cause this medication can do some serious damage if not taken correctly and monitored closely. I have heard that if you take you Clomid from days 3-7 it increases the amount of eggs produce but if you take it later like days 5-9 then you produce a better quality egg. Not sure how true this is but its something to think about. Also keep in mind that your taking a medication and medication effects everyone differently. Not all women will respond to the same dose. All the side effects are well worth the end result. Hope this helps.

Anyways, on to your question, alcohol will not cause any adverse side effects or make the clomid not function as it should. If your partner is a heavy drinker, it can lower sperm count.

The alcohol itself isn't causing you to not get pregnant. Are you charting your bbt or using opk's to pinpoint when you ovulate? My GYN told me I would ovulate ten days after the last pill, and I didn't. I was charting my bbt and so I knew when I hadn't reached my fertile day yet. It was invaluable to me as I ovulated later than I was told I would, and I could have missed my chance.

I highly recommend charting your bbt and/or using opk's!
