Well if your pumping to relieve the pressure, you still have to feed your baby (if your bfing.) We had so much extra milk we just froze it them called the hospital and asked if they could use a donation. Also a woman at our base found out she has cancer and is 17 weeks along and with xhrmo cannot breastfeed so we donated some milk to her. I'm 2 weeks pp and just got myself regulated. So for a few weeks it could help someone out so much. Just an idea to consider. Esp since if you pump you probably will dump most, if not all of it anyways!
I don't really have time to be feeding someone else's baby aswel as my own lol.. thanks :)
The only thing that helped me is pumping. My boons became floatation devices. It was terrifying. You can pump a few times a day and donate your milk to the hospital or a breast milk bank.
Is it just plain cabbage leaves? Like would you freeze it or anything?
I was told to put cabbage on them to help dry out the milk if you're not breastfeeding! If you pump the milk that should give you some relief.
Make sure you're wearing a tight bra.
I wore a tight sports bra after i had my daughter and they hurt less. If you're not breastfeeding, it'll take time for them to heal. They're engorged with milk so it'll hurt for a few days until your body stops producing the milk.
I was told to take a warm/hot shower and let the water run on you. Or get a hot cloth and put then on your breast. :( that's no fun. I hope you get some relief!
