due Monday....... kind of long. sorry.

So as a first time mom i hear a lot of "oh you'll be over due because it's common for first time moms" and "stop worrying you'll forget all the pain when you first hold your baby for the first time"

Well, i know at this point i WANT my baby born already. I'm ready for the labor and pain even though i am scared as heck. I can't walk, stand, sit or anything without my feet swelling really bad. I want to try and get things going before due date/Monday because thats my next doctors appointment as well. I want to be dilated more and get things going NOW!! I am miserable to the max, pregnancy hasn't been great and I'm done.

What are ways or foods to help out?

Just some things NOT to suggest because  i am not comfortable doing. Sex, walking, castor oil, mineral oil, evening primose oil (whatever thats called), spicy foods (because in the long run labor would be worse)

I have been trying yoga a little bit, but it kind of hurts.

I might end up kicking someone in the face with pedicures... my feet are so ticklish...

I have 3 days left and was experiencing a lot of hip pain last night and tons of braxton hicks. I hope that means progress before Monday..

I heard pedicures can. And it will help with your feet pain.

I understand being uncomfortable with sex some women's hormones flourish during pregnancy others like me it just feels flat out awkward for but I think my need for sexual attention was mostly based upon the fact that I wanted a baby (in our family if you don't have a baby by 25 you are basically considered a shame to the family we are basically raised to be mothers and housewives) so once I got pregnant I lost all interest in sex

I have tried sex in earlier pregnancy and it wasn't working out. And i get uncomfortable in all positions... walking just makes my feet swell more and turn purple. I am a petite girl and literally all belly.. i was 135 pre pregnancy and have gained almost 55lbs. I haven't gained weight anywhere else besides belly. So everything i do, hurts.

I had the swelling problem and honestly getting an exercise ball did wonders for that. Also if you're having any hip or back pain, sitting in that ball and just bouncing or rocking back and forth will help. Why, if I may ask, don't you want to try the other options? Sex has several benefits. Good mood hormones, semen has chemicals that soften your cervix and orgasms help with inducing labor. Walking uses gravity and the swinging motion of your hips to move the baby further into place.

My only suggestions would have been those on your no list BUT I wanted to just give you a bit of hope. I did nothing special to induce labor and with my first baby I went into labor on my due date. You aren't necessarily going to go over just because you are a first time mom. So I would say if you have a lot of pain due to swelling then just try to get in as much activity as you can. And nipple stimulation does supposedly work and you don't have to have sex along with it. You don't even have to have your partner do it. Good luck! Hope you don't have long to wait!

I went in early with my first so but I didnt know it was normal for first time pregnancies to be over the 40 weeks so I guess I was lucky. I walked all day everyday ( we didnt have a car so it was either walk to the store and back or go without) maybe thats why I went in early I dont know. Aside from walking a lot ive heard going over speed bumps kinda hard helps start labor (not sure how true that is)... other than that the only thing I can tell you is try to make sure you have everything clean and ready and try to occupy your mind until due date because if your not able to walk much without swelling and dont feel comfortable to have sex then it probably wont happen early .. good luck though and k really hope you get to have your baby soon!!

I'm due Monday I'm getting induced at midnight I had to tell my mid wife to induce me because my hubby was leaving the following week and I need him with me she didn't have a problem long as I'm 40 weeks try that .... But yes like the girl said if your not going to walk have sex then your going to most likely go over ... But I've been doing it all and nothing is working so don't over due your self because its my first child to and boy is he comfy and lazy

You can try squats, eating pineapple,  drinking red raspberry leaf tea,  or nipple stimulation.

I do get up and be active, but as soon as my feet start hurting, i sit down and it takes forever for them to be less swollen..

If you're not comfortable getting up and walking there is nothing we can tell you that is going to help. Probably the most "comfortable" thing you can do is sit down and be patient because if you're not willing to increase your activity level (and to a lesser extent, generally even if you are) then you will go into labor when your baby is ready and your body is ready, and not a moment before.
