epidural

How do an epidural feel and can u feel it go into your back?

I had an epidural and to me it just felt like a small electric shock in my back i expected it to hurt and i was super scared but it was a piece of cake it didnt hurt at all for me and i didnt have any side effects. I was achually able to sleep untill the dr finally came and it was time to deliver

Thanks a mill :) I don't know what to do about the epidural after hearing half the horror story's on this but I suppose once the pain is gone its all that matters haha

No the pushing was fine. And maybe 3 hours or so. I was in labor from 3am until around 12pm and I got my epidural around maybe 5 or 6. But once I started pushing I didn't feel it anymore cuz I was so focused on pushing lol

To me it felt like a little bee sting but after that you don't feel any pain. No I didn't feel it go into my back. But after a while I started itching all over and twitching which were side effects of the epidural

Was it hard to push then over being numb down there? And how long did the twitching last?,x

People say its a pinch! I haven't a clue I'm a ftm and I'm wondering the same... I dunno weather to get one or not lol
