As long as one leg isn't more swollen than another you should be fine. I have heard of this happening. Drink lots of water and keep and eye on your blood pressure. If it doesn't go down soon, call your Dr.
My left leg was swollen real bad during labor with my first son. The nurse said it was completely normal, and it went down in a few days. My IV was on that side so perhaps that is why, not sure. This baby, i have hardly any swelling. I stay at home with our oldest so i try to limit my activities. If i go to town, i swell a little but it goes down fairly quickly. Now that I have just said that, I will start swelling like i did before and the feet will get stuck in my shoes starting tomorrow. Good luck and call your doctor if it doesn't get any better with a few days rest.
Please give your ob/gyn a call.
Do you have any symptoms other than the swelling? Do you feel short of breath, have a cough, dizziness, heart palpitations, or have trouble lying flat? If you have ANY of that with the swelling, go to the ER immediately.
Yeah but my mom thinks I might be allergic to them like she is.
It has nothing to do with the socks. LOL. Those keep you from getting blood clots. The swelling is totally normal and will go away in a week or so. Keep drinking lots of water, and keep your feet up! Relax and take it easy.
