Alright mamas! What do you plan to give your baby as their first teddy? I've decided that I'm giving my little girl a sock monkey that my mom got me a couple years ago when I was in the hospital from diabetes complications because a)it's cute and b)it means a lot to me and I want her to have something that's meaningful in different ways. So what have you decided or been thinking of giving as a first teddy?

I plan on giving mine a kangaroo. My name is Ausi (like Aussie). My best friend made the joke about calling my baby Joey (like a baby kangaroo). Its a cute name but my mom used to have a cat named Joey, but I use it as a nickname, like referring to him/her as the Joey, so I thought a kangaroo would be cute. I already have one that I bought when I went to Australia in 2008.

I have a original cow beanie baby that my mom gave me when I was little. My sis had it for several years and I had no idea!!! She fixed it up for me when I deployed and sent it to me a few years ago. Ever since then it's never left my side! He will go everywhere my son goes and hopefully his kids one day!! I also have a bear from when I first joined the military he's the "guardian" of the house so he'll know him too lol

I got 2 when i was in the hospital,after he was born. One from my grandma, a regular teddy, and one from my bfs brother and his gf, a elephant with a rattle inside, i love that one.

Lol for my baby shower it was a Winnie the pooh themed and my sister in law decorated this cute diaper cake with a cute stuffed Winnie the pooh. I thought it was mine as a souvenir and my mom was like that's the baby's not yours lmao. So im planning to give him that winnie the pooh as his first bear.

You can probably use your phone at the docs when they use the Doppler or during the ultrasounds

How do you record your babies heart beat ??

I'm half tempted just to give her my pup because he's been so awesome with me and her even tho She's not here yet but I think most people including the hospital staff would be alarmed if my dog was allowed in the crib with her haha! But I am giving her my sock monkey.

My fiance and I saw a Toothless at Build A Bear and if we have girl we are doing a dragon theme so that's what we'll pick. If it's a boy, it'll be lion themed so we will do a lion from Build A Bear for that situation.

My sister got my baby a purple owl nukie andmy fiances family got her a lilittle while teddy. The owl nukie I am bringing to the hospital with us so that will be the first one she has. I got nukies for all her kids and she has been so involved with this whole processthat iI think it will mean a lot to her

Im getting her a bear from build a bear with her name embroidered on it and the bear feels like baby blankets :)

We call my baby pumpkin so were waiting to see if build a bear makes a bear with pumpkins or something with pumpkins and my mom is making a crochet blanket green with orange border and a pumpkin beanie for his first pictures I think he's going to be called pumpkin for the rest of his life lol my other kids were peanut,coconut and pebble

Yeah the heart beat does help ease and calm baby! Works with puppies and kittens too. Since baby hears it all the time in the womb it's nice for them to have that familiarity outside

My oldest daughter is giving her heartbeat teddy to her baby sister :) She 5 and is still playin tea party with it lol but she tells me its for her new baby sissy♡
