fishing???

I am in highschool still and my biology teacher wants us to dissect fish soon. We would have to go down to the lake and fish for our own fish during class. Our lake is really gross and I can't stand the smell of fish or the lake. Would it be dangerous if I went with my class and fished and dissected? I will be about 30ish weeks pregnant when we go fishing. Today we dissected phesents and I was so disgusted by the smell and my stomach kept pushing against the table it was so discomforting. Plus it freaked me out a little I was afraid it would hurt my son if my stomach kept pressing on the table. I still smell that horrible smell from the birds and now my room at home smells like it I can't imagine about the fish... anyway any other teen moms have this problem? Every time I try and get out of dissecting the guys in my class tell me to suck it up and everything.

I went fishing up until a few days before I had my daughter. Ask for a mask and a window open to help with the smell.

I personally would not do it at all I work in a pub and I won't go near the raw fish in the kitchen cos I carnt stand the smell no no no no u had guts to stay in class today I wouldn't and couldn't of done it. I'd say put you in a room and you can read about it instead of taking part in it.

Fresh fish doesn't smell nearly as bad as market sold fish. I would just ask for a mask and be near a window like kennimae said.

You can ask the teacher if you could sit out from the activity im sure she will understand just explain to her

Wear gloves and a face mask. Fishing is not harmful at all. I do it as often as I can.

I'm 16 & I'm still in school.  I have a hard time doing alot at school,  if your really uncomfortable see if you can do an alternative assignment.  Good luck: )

We have a male teacher. He and the rest of the class(who are mostly guys) all told me to suck it up. My stomach pushes on the table and is discomforting. I have always hated the smell of fish it is so gross. The lake that we have to fish at for school smells and is so nasty. I can't get a note for it and my teachers are not supportive of my pregnancy they all frown upon me... and since me and the dad split up they are all very rude about it.
