My work pays 6 wks... they pay u out w ur vac n sick pay. And the rest is called short term disability. The fmla .. they oay me 70% and short term diasability through the state is 30% . So I got 100 % pay for maternity leavr. Thank Gid! Hope urs is like mine!
I work in the FMLA claims department for metlife. Basically, like the lady above stated, its standard in all states & is just job protection for up to 12 weeks. Your employer is the one that sets rules & guidelines for the pay.

Use this website. Very useful!
Fmla is standard in every state since it is a federal law. It has nothing to do with pay it allows you up to 12weeks of job protected time off. Pay is a company choice.
My job u get up to 12 weeks each calendar year
But u dont get paid & it basically keeps ur postion but u have to be there a year & work least 1200hours . ... That's in Pa ..
Usually a year depending on your company's policy. But (and idk if this is why you asked) you can't use FMLA for a maternity leave at least not in Texas.
for my fmla i get to be off for 12 wks out of those 12 i get paid 6 weeks which is only half of ur paid so for example you get paid $10.50/hr u will get paid $5.25 around once those 6 weeks are over u have to find a way to get paid the other 6wks n if u dont want to use all of ur vac and sick time you can choose not get paid and save some of those for later in case of emergencies of up comong plans.
At my work u can take up to 12 wks fmla but u get paid by using ur vacation/sick time. Once ur vacation time runs out then it is just unpaid leave. Not sure how long u have to work to be elgibile.
I'm not sure how it is for moms but all I know is with my hubby he had to be at his job for 90 days and he only gets 3 days paid but can take off as long as he needs...soooo BUMP! Hopefully another mama will be able to help ya :)
