food for baby shower??

Some my family has convinced me to have a baby shower this time around.. planning to have it towards the end of november so just looking for some ideas. What did/are you guys planning to serve for food and drink during your baby shower??

My dad is doing the foods. All I know its rice an pork lol an I'm making homemade pink lemonade for drinks.

It is @misswest91! But ive never had sherbert & sprite & those are my favs!!!! Definitely put those on my boyfriends to-get list, unfortunately he literally just got back from the market so it wont happen today.lol

I'm just having mine out a restaurant because we are low on money. If anyone wants to eat they pay for themselves.

Mines is coed as well & will be 3hrs during the evening. We're serving salad, rolls, white rice, sweddish meatballs, pasta salad, fried wings, & cajon sauasage pasta (penne pasta, andouille sausage, spaghetti sauce, & cheese). Only doing water bottles & a pink lemonade/sprite drink with fru8t in it. We also have a dessert table full of sweets.
A lot, but my boyfriend is a chef, his cousin does sweets for a living, & we all LOVE to eat.lol

I wish we could do something outside because we really dont have enough space to do it at our apartment. And I dont wanna rent somewhere because I feel like it would be to formal urgh!! Lol

since mine was at a park we grilled about every meat possible ribs, steak, etc , we also had potato salad , &pasta salad with shrimp ,& different kinds of rice. hot dogs &burgers for the kids apple juice &pineapple juice. &beer &liquor for the adults & bottles of water.

Lol yes, the constant touching bothers me too. Plus, ours was on a sunday so we had a football game on. Most people were entertained enough by the game. Worked out perfect!

He a ours will be co-ed also and thats a great idea because thats the reason I did have one with my daughter I personally dont wanna feel pressured to keep everyone entertained lol or do like games with people touching me lol not my thing

Curious are you guys cooking the burgers during the shower? Or how are you planning to hold up the meat if that makes sense?

I had a co-ed baby shower. We bought pulled pork and served BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. And I had a few family members make some sides. My boyfriend and I invited close friends and close family and just ate and opened gifts at the end. It was nice! No pressure on me to play baby games or be the center of attention.
