jelousy

Hey everyone this is my 2nd pregnancy and were very excited! I am worried about my daughter being a little jelous when the baby comes though. She's 7 and its only been her so I don't want her to feel neglected or be jelous. Anyone have these same fears? How'd it go?

My son who at the time was 1 1/2 years old when my daughter was born was not amused. They did not get on from the first meeting, first thing he did was smack her. We tried the "present" from the baby introduction, and treated him special. He still does not get on with his sister and he is 22 now.

Thanks that makes me feel better. She's a great kid so I'm hoping adjusting wont be so bad.

I worried about that with my son and then with my son and daughter when our third baby was born. I think all kids go through a little adjustment period right after the baby comes home. As long as you still make time to do things with her she'll probably be fine. Little girls are great because they tend to be mommy's helper.
