We over vaccinate in the US! I would recommend looking into Dr. Sears he has a book, its very non bias he'll tell you what the vaccine is and you decide wether you want it or not. You can always choose to vaccinate on your own scheudal!
Yes it's normal. But tummy time is always good to start early to strengthen her little neck muscles. And talk to her as much as possible. Use toys that'll grab her attention to get her to start following objects. The more involved you are with her, the more aggressive she'll be at hitting her milestones. I did notice my daughter hit milestones quicker than my son did. I've read a lot that girls do things a lot quicker than boys. At 2 months, they're still adjusting to life lol I love the newborn stages!!
Thank you that was very helpful. Is 4 months average time frame for babies to start doing that kind of stuff or should I be concerned if it takes longer? I know all babies are different but just curious. I'm a ftm
Also, they'll check her ears for infection, eyes, and throat, belly button. Check gums for teething.. They'll ask how many wet/soiled diapers per day.. how many feedings she's having. Take her shot record, any forms for insurance.
Oohhh..gotcha. Lol I read the post too fast.
She means her son didn't start hitting milestones until he was 4 months old.
Your question was referring to what a baby's 2 month check up at their pediatrician entails. They get vaccines, check for normal growth of brain, length/height, weight. The usual stuff. They'll ask if you're currently breastfeeding, formula feeding, supplementing and bottle feeding. How well your baby sleeps at night, if they're co-sleeping or in their own crib. They'll just wanna know the simple stuff. Pretty much the same stuff at every appointment other than not receiving vaccines every time.
Oh I gotcha. Thank ya tho
Like to me he was boring, just laid there, ate and slept. At four months he was smiling, rolling over and holding toys and stuff. Every baby is different tho.
What do ya mean by entertaining
Absolutely nothing at 2 months. Lol I don't think my son started getting entertaining until 4 months. He might of been reaching, trying to grab toys at 2/3 months. And like 4/5 shots at 2mnths. Some combine vaccine in one so if your lucky only 2/3 shots.
