Sorry I meant the dental clinic provided by Medicaid and I'm in Florida
I'm going to the dental clinic provided by wic but they said if I want the extraction or root canal that I have to go to a private dentist. I think my only option is to try and get a loan but I have student loans from college so I don't know I'd I'll qualify
Idk why Medicaid won't cover you.. my sister had 3 root canals done and they paid for everything, are you going to the one they provide or your own dentist?
Just had a tooth pulled Monday and my Medicaid covered the cost. I also expected a fill but the dentist said it was either pull it or a root canal. Figured it'd be easier and quicker to pull it.
I waited 2 months after giving birth, I just couldn't take the pain anymore and with a newborn it just wasn't on my budget to get a root canal done. It cost $70 to remove it but of course the price will vary depending on where you go
I would definitely call around for prices.
See with ur bank if u can get a line of credit. I was approved for 5000 and moved up to 7500. Things happened and we had to fall back on it some times. If i pay the minimal its 50 a month but if i want to pay it back i have to give a little more. Since mo ey is tight right now i put 60 and hopefully will upgrade a little as time goes.
Try to get a care credit card, always great deals
I would get a second opinion, especially for the cost my husband had it with no INS and it was $1500
Whew well that gives me a little hope! I had braces in middle school too and that's what I'm most worried about and I don't want to get an infection. How long did you wait til you got it pulled?
That actually happened to me with my first pregnancy, i decided to have it pulled out after I gave birth since it was in the back and wouldn't be noticeable, this was two years ago and my teeth haven't moved at all! Also I did gave braces before when I was in middle school so i thought for sure they would move but yeah nothing yet
I have been thinking about that but an implant later on is soooo expensive , I heard somewhere around 5 k and I'd have to get something there if I got it pulled since all my teeth would move if I left the empty space. I feel so stuck.
Probably not what u want to hear but if it is a back tooth u could have it pulled for now. Than when u have more money or dental insurance they will put in a fake tooth. This will cost way way less and you dentist can do it for u.
I have Medicaid and contacted them. They said they only cover cleanings and xrays, not root canals. It's just crazy that I can't get affordable help anywhere! My husband and I bring in as much money as we can but we live paycheck to paycheck. Where am I supposed to get 3000 to fix my tooth. Just makes it so hard.
That *****! Could you get help from Medicaid?
Ya but the procedure cost 3000 and its payments of 200 a month with 29 percent interest. It's crazy
Do they have a payment plan? My sister just had oral surgery and she only has to pay $30 a month.
