generic prenatal vitamins

So my dr gave me 4 different prenatal vitamins to choose from, after reading up on all of them and taking them I choose Nestabs DHA but medicaid hadn't sent my insurance card so I bought gummy prenatal vitamins from GNC. They make me sick so I stopped taking them and finally got my "choosen" prenatals, as it turns out they make me sick also. About 6 months ago I bought generic prenatal vitamins from Dollar General because I was going to take them to get help getting pregnant. I never took them because I decided to wait (that didn't happen lol) anyways my question is are generic dollar store prenatal vitamins still as effective? or should I ask my dr for another type of prenatal vitamins?

I had the same problem so I take kids Flinestone vitamins. My doctor approves them because they still contain folic acid.

My sister in law who has been pregnant the same time as me until about two weeks ago told me this and my mother in law said the same thing that the iron in the vitamins is what makes you sick. I'm 38 weeks and 4 days and as long as I eat something with them I don't get sick

I'm taking the equate brand for women's one a day with dha and iron. Try eating something before you take them. I always eat something with them and take them before I go to sleep so if it makes me sick I sleep through most of it

Any prenatal is effective. To be honest I just get the natures bounty at giant eagle. That had a local sale buy one get one free so I got enough to last the whole pregnancy and then some.  Go by DHA, iron and just overall vitamin mg. Not much of a difference. Some have like 2p more mg of this vitamin or that.
