genetics question

We are going to start TTC next year after our son is about 1 1/2 years old. My question is what are our chances of having another boy? My sister in law has 2 boys from two different men and she insists my fiance can't produce girls. Which I want another boy. I am afraid of having a girl because I wouldn't know what to do with her, I wouldn't know how to teach her to do her hair, nails, makeup or anything because my mom never taught me any of it, so I want another boy.

So is it possible that a man can only produce one gender?

No, it's not possible for him to only produce one gender, and your chances are 50/50 either way. My mom was NOT girly, never taught me how to do hair, nails, makeup, nothing, I made it through life, she's your mother not a cosmetologist, haha. There's wives tales that having sex closer to ovulation, eating less acidic foods, etc, but it's not a guarentee, you'll get what you get either way. I don't understand how she thinks your fiance can't produce girls if he's only got his one son, or does he have more children? Either way, even if he has 10 boys, and no girls, it doesn't mean he can't produce girls, just he hasn't yet. I'm having a girl in Jan. and I couldn't be happier, we have a son, and TRUST me after a couple years of it being you the only lady, you'll want a girl, hahah!!

Yes our son is his only child. I don't know why she thinks he can only have boys. I'm afraid of having a girl and just being at a complete loss on what to do with her after the baby stage lol.

Where I live they will give you a Petri dish baby to ensure its a boy for 6 thousand dollars. girls are fun too! I have never heard of someone only capable of producing one gender, but speak with a doctor!
