I disgaree that OPKs are the most accurate way to determine ovulation. These tests detect your LH surge (lutein hormone). If you test in the morning and you don't get a surge until the evening you're going to miss that you even had the surge. I find more women confused and frustrated with them, plus they cost money.

But you definitely do need to figure out when you ovulate. You can try the OPKs and see how you like them for yourself. There is one way I depend upon greatly that doesn't cost anything. And that is observing cervical mucous changes throughout your cycle.

When you ovulate your cervix will open up to allow sperm through. This will result in a discharge that is usually white, cloudy, opaque or crystal clear and can range from sticky to very stretchy. When you have cervical discharge the resembles runny, raw egg whites you are at your most fertile.

My very, very simple plan is to have sex anytime you have cervical discharge. You will notice this discharge when you wipe after using the restroom. Good luck to you! And sorry your period came!!!

Hi:) First find out when u ovulate. Google ovulation calendar (*******.com is a really good one) then purchase OPK (ovulation predictor kit) Most accurate way to detect ovulation. Also women ovulate 14 days before expected periods. As long as u have intercourse when u are expected to ovulate, ur chances of getting pregnant will be high. Good luck!
