Next month i take the glucose test with the sugary drink i heard its nasty and a horrible experience what happens how does it go and what did you guya experience please tell me !! Im a ftm !!

I was only about 12 weeks when I did the first part then was 15 weeks when I did the second part

I had the test done it wasn't to bad the drink kind of tastes like orange soda. Mine came back kind of high so I had to the second test which was fasting for 24 hours and then sit at the dr for 3 hrs and get poked 4 times. I am waiting for the results. I just hope all comes back normal but the test is definitely worth it..

I got fruit punch and it tasted like Gatorade. They had me drink it in the morning and go into the doctors office an hour later and get my finger poked. It's really not bad at all..nothing to worry about.

When I did the 1hr test it really wasn't bad. The drink they gave me was cold pretty easy to drink. But I didn't pass that test and had to go for the 3hr which was horrible! I went to a different lab and I guess they don't keep their drinks refrigerated and it was warm and gross. Plus it has twice as much sugar as the drink they use for the 1hr test. 20 mins after I drank it I threw it all back up so try couldn't even finish they test :(

Well I was given the drink at my last appt to keep it in the fridge until my next appt. I woke up at 7 and had the drink around 7:40  it was actually tasty lol I had fruit punch and it only took me two mins to drink. My appt was at 8:30 they took my iron then I peed in a cup. And had my blood drawn. I should find out my results on Friday good luck

Mine wasn't bad at all. It tasted like a cold flat sprite. Then my midwife talked to me that entire hour and we got to chase my baby around with the fetal doppler. The drink is like crack for babies. Lol. Then she pricked my finger and I got my results like 2 minutes later.

I took the one hour test and I took it at 21 weeks and passed and I have to take it again at my next appointment bcuz I am over weight and they want to make sure I don't get gd but it wasn't a bad experience for me to really be honest the drink is not really sweet at all I choose the fruit punch flavor and it tasted like watered down juice I waited one hour after drinking the juice and had my blood drawn and got a score of 118 and they want u to be less than 139

That must have something to do with your doctor. I only took 1 and I've never heard of anybody taking 2 unless they fail the first.

ugh i had to do a 3hr cause i failed the 1hr..n the 3hr is nasty i think cause it more sugar so its thicker blah..i got sick cause you cant eat .light headed n shacky i didn't like it

I believe it's 28 weeks? I did mine at 27 but I think they like it done around 26 to 28. Not 100% sure on that.

It's not as bad as people say. It is quite sweet, a bit like straight cordial the worst part for me was all the sitting around waiting in between bloods.

I went in thinking the drink would be horrible but honestly I thought it tasted like orange Popsicle. It made me really tired and thirsty tho. My mouth was dry for a few hours after even with the water I was drinking. They wouldn't let me tae a nap. that was the worst part lol

They made me pee in a cup (the worse part in my oppion. That just doesn't work for a woman!!!) Then they gave me an option to have either a orange juice or fruit punch sugary drink, which I always choose fruit punch. It's not bad, just super sugary, ick. Then I had 5 mins to drink it all and thenthey set a timer and I had to sit and wait an hour. After the hour was up they drew my blood. Which isn't bad at all. I just turn my head away and think of other things. It takes about a minute and then you're free to go.

It wasn't bad at all. I just failed the sugar part of the test though and I have to go back Friday and do the 3 hour test now. :-( I just don't want to sit in the waiting room for three hours.

Lol its not bad at all you drink it...wait a hour and get blood drawn...probably the EASIEST thing i been through ALL my pregnaNcy

Its really not that bad . it taste like flat soda
