having my 1st baby

I just found 6 days ago that I'm pregnant for the 1st in my life. Me and my boyfriend been together for a year and he has 3 kids of his own. He wants me and to get abortion but I don't want to get one. To make matters worse my sibling are telling to get one too. They said its good to be hard being a single mother. I know if I have this baby he is going to leave. I honestly don't care if he does. I am worried that I won't be able to afford daycare and formula on my own. I hear its expense, and because I make too much by government standards, I won't be able to get WIC or a daycare voucher. I really want my baby. All I do is think about my child now and what kind of mother I'll be. I'm out of college and I have a good job. So I don't understand why those close to me do want to have this baby. I think if I go to that clinic it will mess me up mentally. Got any advice world?

Yes, I haven't met a grandparent yet who can resist their cute little grandbaby. My ex's mother was totally against it, until the thought of a wonderful new little baby occurred to her...now she's excited over names and trying to buy me things for the baby. At least that I wouldn't worry too much about.

My advice to you is keep your baby if thats what you truly want & think is right. No one else should try to pressure your choice that is your body & your life! Don't make a decision that isn't yours.. your very strong for not caring if he leaves with your choice, many girls fall stupid in there bfs decisions. As of your family they will soon get over there selfish thoughts & see that your baby was born to be here & is a gift from above. Good luck mama :)

Do what YOU want, hun!! Keep your baby n ditch the bf!!! Plus, have you looked into WIC ?? It's run by ur state, not the government..you may possibly qualify..we still got wic when we were no longer getting help from job n family services..it won't won't hurt to check.......stay strong and best wishes!! ;-)

I agree, child support is his responsibility; if he creates a child, he needs to help raise it at least financially. That will help you financially, and your family will adjust once they realize the baby's coming, no matter what they say. It is hard being a single mom, but people do it every day, and some do it very well. Be the best mom you can be for your little one and everything else will work itself out; those little hugs and smiles you'll get will make it all worth it. :)

You're out of college and have a good job; tell your boyfriend to take his a.h. comments and keep them to himself.

It will def be expensive but worth it. If you want to keep your baby keep it doll and if he leaves hit him for child support. Good luck!

I think its great your not letting anyone of them push you into doing the abortion... its scary how much a child cost and how are you going to pay for him/her but you will be surprise what you can do for your child if he doesn't want to help you then put him on child support their is also alot of programs that help single mother's their is alot of help you just have to look...good luck n congratulations :)
