hcg level 136 nothing on ultrasound

I have irregular periods. Last period was Aug.15. Started cramping so I went to the hospital to find what was wrong, found out I'm pregant. They did bloodwork and an ultrasound both on my stomache and inside. They told me they could't see anything, so I guess its hard to determine where i am they sad my hcg level was 136....they told  if it doesn't go up in two days they  they may have perform a dnc...and the crappng may be me about to be getting my period. First time ever being pregant very confused...
Help please been freaking out! Got sooo excited just to be let down...again i don't understand all this please someone help.

Good luck! When I found out I was pregnant they tried to get me to do a d&c because I have a miscarriage a week before so they figured my hcg was rising due to left over matter plus they did an ultrasound (big mistake) at hcg level 256 all they found was thickening of the uterine lining. Now I am 21 weeks pregnant and doing fairly good. So,its always good to go for them hcg tests and results as Ktowne said: if they are not doubling then it would be recommended and considered as a missed miscarriage or a silent abortion, and a d& c would prevent possible infection etc. But, since you don't have an accurate conception date let the hcg results guide you that will help determine if baby is growing or not. Keep us updated hun!

Thank you both cause I've been so scard, cried all day yesterday cause I didn't think I could get pregnant cause I was on the implannon for the years and after that I tried for a year and a half. We got so excited when we found out that I was pregnant. Trying to keep my head up. I go in to be rechecked. Its in Gods hands. But if I'm not spotting or  anything they aren't going to touch me or try and pull a dnc. Lol. I'll update you all. Thanks again.

I don't even know why they'd try to do an U/S before your hcg was over 2000. You wouldn't be able to see anything. You also said you have irregular periods, so you really don't know when you conceived, so don't let them scare you into thinking it's not a viable pregnancy, you may still be early on. My first hcg was only 64, and I'm 26 weeks 3 days pregnant with a baby girl. I would make sure you get another blood draw in the next week or so, and if your levels are rising as they should, at least doubling every 24-48 hours, then don't agree to a dnc, ask for another U/S if they're rising appropriately. Cramping in early pregnancy is also a good sign, it's your uterus stretching to grow with your baby, good luck hun!!

on most u/s they your hcg levels need to be above 2000 this is what my doctors told me i had a u/s at 3-4 weeks and we couldn't see anyting our hcg levels were only 200 we had them checked in 2 days and they more than doubled like she wanted and then we went back in 4 weeks for u/s and we got to see the heartbeat and the little thing moving around we are now 12 weeks so keep your head up and get your blood checked again it could be that you are very early thats how ours were would love to hear an update
