hcg levels went up but did not double

last month on dec 19 i had a chemical pregnancy miscarriage maybe i dont know the doc dont really know well my levels were only at a 34.36 that monday i had my levels checked again and they were under a .2. he gave me femera to take on days 21 threw 25 which i did and this last tuesday on jan 18 i had a positive pregnancy test result and i called my doc he told me to get my hcg levels checked on wed the 19th and they were at a 50.36 i got them checked again today two days later and they only went up to a 86.84 i know that they are supposed to double every 48 to 72 hours mine did not double but they did go up i called they doc and they told me they still dont know if i am preggo they will call me on monday to have them checked again. the nurse told me that if i was pregnant that i was only just a few hours pregnant i dont really understand that. what should i be thinking right now am i preggo should i prepare myself for a miscarriage am i not preggo i am really confused.

My H.C.G levels did not double, they rose slowly and My doctor thought it was blighted ovum (Miscarriage).

They almost doubled in 48 hours. Why didn't the doctor wait until the 72 hours to test? I would have them rechecked.

Any time you have HCG in your system you are pregnant. Viability of the pregnancy is what's under question here. I would wait for another test to see how it's coming along. It seems like you caught this pregnancy pretty early, so I think there is a chance for the pregnancy to work. You do want to see numbers double from here on out.
