help! stressed/worried

I Found out I was pregnant at 14 weeks because the first two months I was getting a very light period my 3 month is when I didn't get my period anymore. I did my medicaid application at 15 weeks and I didn't hear back in tell last night got my approval letter in the mail. I'm 20 weeks now and now I have to wait from 15-45 days to get my card in the mail. The obgyn won't give me an appointment in tell I get that card. I'm to far along and they told me they don't know if she will take me in once I do get my medicaid card. What can I do?

Thank you guys I feel a little better, that's what has been stressing me out a lot! When I asked her about if she would still take me in she said she would have to ask because I was 20 weeks already.

& it's never too late for an obgyn to get you! Trust me, someone out there will take you . That's just like a hospital turning you down when you're about to give birth . It's against the law for them to do that.

Thats not too far along. Most doctors don't see you until your 8 weeks. At 20 weeks, you've only had about 3 visits at the most. When you do get seen, they should be able to determine gender, also do other test needed to ensure the baby is healthy. Dont stress yourself. Everything will be fine!!

I did give them my medcaid id # and the plan I'm enrolled in but when she checks in she said I'm not enrolled in any. I live in Texas and they said it would take no less than 3 weeks for a response. Now for my card they said from 15-45 days

Don't stress, it's okay . I didn't go to the doctor until I wad about 15-16 Weeks pregnant at the Health Department here & they gave me a pregnancy confirmation. You will be fine , just take some prenatals over the counter until you do get your medicaid card & approval letter. AGAIN DO NOT STRESS! I'm sure there's someone out there that never went to an appointment. Although I can understand where you are coming from .

I'm just worried that I'm 20 weeks and by the time I do get my card it will be to late for any obgyn to get me because I'm far along.

Yeah, you should just be able to give them your ID number and they should take you. That's what I did.

That was a very long wait time for your medicaid to be approved! When your pregnant, you should know within a few days of applying. Contact your medicaid provider, and ask them for your member i.d number and which plan you are on. The obgyn can enter in your information and pull up everything! What city/state do you live in?
