When i went to the Dr he told me i have a heart shaped uterus which could cause preterm labor miscarriages.. etc. My daughter was born at 30+5 & was in NICU for 47 days. I am at risk for preterm labor again and my husband's mother told me I would be a bad mother to have anymore kids because I cannot carry them full term & I'm just putting them through hell with the NICU :( Was that mean or am I over reacting. I am highly upset. It's not my fault I can't carry babies full term. We don't even know that yet because I'm only 8+1. This baby could go full term or at least close. I just think that's a mean thing to say. Especially to a pregnant women :\

Did the nyquil cause her any problems

They're doing good. She's gotten a lot better with them.

He did! He told me I'm getting frequent ultrasounds of baby and my cervix. I'm getting a shot to help and he said if I start dilating there's ways to stop it. Nobody knew I was gonna have my daughter early so there was only so much they could do.

I thought my MIL was bad I hope u gave her a slap !!! What a Terrible thing to say ... how ur able to carry children does not  interpret what mother your going to be how dare she so rude , I'm sure now they've found a problem there cld be ways in helping baby go a bit longer don't panic  xx

Thank you ladies. I did everything i could to keep my daughter in, but there's only so much I can do. I was in that NICU everyday with my baby. Bringing her clothes, blankets, stuffed animals. Anything I could bring, I did. It's not like I'm just abandoning my babies. I'm there for them so she had no right to bring that up!

That was not an appropriate comment for her to make. Just because you can't necessarily carry full term does not mean you aren't deserving of children, and it doesn't mean those babies are "put through hell"... That is the purpose of a NICU and for many women the only reason they have their babies in their arms today is because of that so called "hell"... So I say screw her!

What a witch, for lack of a better word.
You do as best as you can and so what if they aren't full term you carried them as long as your body allowed you too!
God sends them to you for a reason.
I'm sure you're a very good mommy regardless.
Keep your head up and pay no mind to her ignorant comments.
