I stayed three days with both of my kids. My sister in law had a c section and stayed 1 or 2 days.
Ask your hospital and your Dr. I stayed 3 days for my csection, my friend stayed 2 1/2 days for vaginal birth and another friend who had a csection only stayed 1 night(went in during the afternoon, had it done 3 hours later, went home next morning). All at the same hospital but different drs.
Here at my hospital in tx its 2 for vaginal & 3 for c section
Here n nc its 24 hours if everything is ok for vaginal birth but every hospital is different.
Varies from hospitals to different locations. EVERY PLACE IS DIFF. I just learned because I'm positive for group b strep I have to stay 3 days....
It doesn't matter whether you get the epidural or not.
If it's your first kid at my hospital, you stay 2 days for a vaginal birth.
I'd ask your doctor or hospital. It varies from place to place. Here where I live its 24 hours for vaginal, 48 for c section
Where I am (UK) if you have no complications and both you and baby have eaten and been to the toilet (both ways) you have to stay a minimum of 6 hours. If you have an epidural you have to stay a minimum of 24 hours just to watch your blood pressure and c section is norm around 3 nights
You don't stay longer whether you have an epidural or not, so the above days are correct.
It was 3 days at my hospital no matter which way u have the baby. As long as u don't have complications.
For my hospital it's 2 days if you have a vaginal birth and 3 if you have a c-section.
