how do i calculate my menstrual cycle?

Hi ladies, i recenty was 6 days late for my period, then it came back about 10 days later. both were light flows, the only difference is the last one was darker, had normal cramps and a few tiny blood clots. My question is when should my next cycle start? should it start from the first period or second. One more thing, my period is about 32 days apart, and since it was late that will make it cd 38. i am wondering if i should start counting from the first or last period and also should i count 38 days or my normal 32 days. any advice would be appreciated. thanks

I had this problem a few times... Mine was because of medication and my body trying to play "catch-up". As far as I know though, you start from the last period you had, and count from there. and I'd use your normal number for the days. Not sure if this helps, it's just from what I've experienced. Hope you get it all figured out.
