Have you looked into Post Partum Depression?  It sounds like you may have it.  Crying can get irritating but it shouldn't be to the point where you can't take it anymore.  Sounds like something else hormonal might be going on there.  Just keep trying to tell yourself this to shall pass.  What are you using other than orajel?  Frankly, I don't like the orajel, it hardens the gums.  Have you tried Hyland's Tablets?  I really recommend them, and if it gets really bad I combine the tylenol and Hyland's Tablets.  That helped immensly with my son.  He wouldn't cry non-stop but he whined to the point when I was pulling my hair out.  But when I used both he would just sleep through the pain.

I really agree with blueeyedtabbycat. Even if you have no help at all, you should definitely find a technique that calms you down. This is different for all of us. If it doesn't subside then I would talk to your doctor and see what they can recommend. I wish the best for you.

Leave the room. Put your son some place safe and go to another room for a few minutes to calm down. After your calm try giving him some tyenol and baby origel. That should help with the pain. I understand your frustration but I think you need to take a step back and think about the pain your son is in. His only way to comunicate is crying, he cant tell you how much it hurts:( If you ever feel like your at the breaking point leave the room, and dont ever be afraid to ask for help.
